Get ready, this Chocolate Strawberry Mousse is easy to make and tastes fantastic!
Let’s see what we need to prepare.
Chocolate Mousse (20 pieces of 2oz dessert cups
2 large egg yolks
2.5 teaspoon of Original Gelatin Unflavored Powder
5 Spoons of Chocolate Powder
4 spoons of sugar ( you will notice that I use brown sugar to make this dessert because the brown sugar is healthier compared with the white one)
1/3 cup water
3oz of unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream, chilled
Put 2 large egg yolks and 3 spoons of sugar into a big bowl. Then start to whisk the egg yolks and sugar until the mixture is thick, like runny mayonnaise.
Evenly sprinkle the 5 spoons of chocolate powder into the step 1 mixture. ( you can separately sprinkle the powder into the mixture.)
Put the melt 2oz unsalted butter into the step 2 mixture. evenly blend together.
Dissolve the 2.5 teaspoons of Gelatin powder into 1/3 cup of boiling water. and then pull it into Step 3, Chocolate mixture.
heat up 150ml of heavy whipped cream to 167F and separately put it into our chocolate mixture. (don’t put all of the hot whipped creams into the chocolate mixture at once to avoid destroying the mixture.)
whisk the 250ml heavy cream in a medium bowl until they are foamy and beginning to hold a shape.
Then pull the heavy cream into the chocolate mixture and blend them together
Spoon or pipe the mousse into a serving bowl or individual dishes. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. (The mousse can be refrigerated for up to a day.)
And then, We can move on to the strawberry mousse
Strawberry Mousse Ingredient
1 cup fresh strawberry purée (about 1.5 cups quartered strawberries)
1 egg yolk
3 spoons of sugar ( you will notice that I use brown sugar to make this dessert because the brown sugar is healthier compared with the white one)
250 ml fresh cream, chilled
1 tbsp Original Gelatin Unflavored Powder
1/8 cup hot water
2 or 3 strawberries and kiwi for garnish
Heat a egg yolk and 2 spoon of sugar with hot water, and in a bowl set on top, melt together, whip them until smooth. Remove from heat.
Put the strawberries into the food blender. Blend them until to purée.
dissolve the 1.5 teaspoons of Gelatine powder with 1/4 cup of hot water
Put Step 4 into the strawberry purée and 1 spoon of sugar and heat them up until boil and cool it for 20 mins.
Whip the 250ml of heavy cream until it becomes hard. And pull it into Step 4 and blend them evenly.
Pull the strawberry mixture it into the Chocolate Mixture
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. (The mousse can be refrigerated for up to a day.)
preparing the strawberry purée, chocolate decoration, strawberries, or kiwi as a topping.
Then your lovely Valentine’s Day Dessert is ready for serving!!!
